Agent XXXXXX already exists since 8/7/06 11:30 AM

I am using TeamCity Version 1.0-beta build 1492 and I installed the build agent using JWS from the TeamCity server.

My agent doesn't seem to get properly registered/initialized. The server shows "No agents are registered", the plugins folder for the agent is staying empty, and the agent log file keeps repeating the following:
-

INFO - r.agent.impl.ServerXmlRpcProxy - Registered: 123
INFO - r.agent.impl.ServerXmlRpcProxy - Registering on build server: XXXXXX []
WARN - rver.agent.impl.BuildAgentImpl - Call http://[ServerIpAddress]:[ServerPort]/teamcity//RPC2 buildServer.register: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.RuntimeException: Agent XXXXXX already exists since 8/7/06 11:30 AM

Note: the names, ip addresses and ports have been changed to protect the guilty...

The error log file is repeating the following, but not as often:
-

java.util.NoSuchElementException

java.util.NoSuchElementException
-

My buildAgent.properties file looks like this:
-

#Generated properties
#Mon Aug 07 08:29:11 EDT 2006
serverUrl=http\://[ServerIpAddress]\:[ServerPort]/teamcity/
name=XXXXXX
workDir=../work
env.JAVA_HOME=C\:/bea/jdk142_11
ownPort=[AgentPort]
ownAddress=[AgentIpAddress]
-

Again, the names, ip addresses and ports have been changed to protect the guilty...

I've tried registering the buildAgent on the server as well as on my workstation. Neither one seems to work properly.

Any help in figuring out what I did wrong would be appreciated.

Could you please attach the server log also?
Thanks!

I hadn't gone searching the server logs yet.

Once you pointed them out to me, I realized that it was a connectivity issue.

I have windows firewall running and I had to open up port 9090 on the machine with the Build Agent. That should be clearly stated somewhere in the buildAgent installation procedure. Or at the least, there should be a more informative indication of the issue when the server cannot connect to a buildagent.

Thanks,
