TeamCity needs good Maven2 support

I hear discussion regarding the Benares version of TeamCity but I do not find any discussion of adding good Maven2 support to TeamCity.

While we can now build and release with TC/Maven2 the overall functionality provided is poor. The following are minimal TC requirements to provide maven2 support.

1. TC should properly report the version of the maven2 artifact being build. This includes releases and snapshots. Currently the TC versioning is useless for maven builds.
2. TC should read all data that exists from the project POM, such as name, SCM paths and login info.

Please add good maven2 support to TC.

Hello David,

Yes, we remember about your requests and we agree the features you need would
be quite useful.
Unfortunately their implementation isn't that simple as it sounds.
It would significantly impact the core architecture of TeamCity and take
much effort.
That's why we haven't done it yet.

But I can assure you we'll keep in mind your requests while planning the
development of next TeamCity releases.

Thank you,
