ClearCase Integration

Hi all.

First of all, thank you very much IntelliJ for just another cool product!

Initial impression of the TeamCity was very positive. Now I'd like to know what is the current status of ClearCase integration. From what I can see TeamCity assumes that you always have a dynamic view locally, is it correct?

Next question would be does it support source code tagging? I appears it does, but it doesn't work out of the box. My guess is that it issues cleartool commands which are not permitted by our ClearCase setup. Here we have a ClearCase that permits only commands like:

cleartool mklbtype -global -c "Mandatory label comment" VOBID_PROJECTID_2.3.4_INT002@\admin

That commands means that all labels are global and created within the "admin" VOB. Besides label name should follow one of two predefined patterns (though that can be configred from within TeamCity, so guess not a problem at all).

Is there any configuration file out where which can be changed to cusomize cleartool commands TeamCity uses?

Is there any interest to improve ClearCase support within TeamCity? Guess I can trial some changes you may have in mind in our environment.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Mikhail Krivoshein

Hi everyone.

Is there any chance that some of TeamCity developers will answer question above?
May it be possible that exact command for cleartool would become configurable?

Or should I consider implementing custom adapter for TeamCity? How much effort will it require?

Kind regards,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Right now the responsible developer is not available, I'll think if I get someone to look into this since ClearCase ideology is rather specific.

As to customizing the individual commands to cleartool: unfortunately, there is no way to customize them externally for now. If you are interested, we can discuss if we can provide you with the sources of ClearCase plugin so you can tweak them to your needs.
