VCS Settings

Hi Experts !!

Am new to TeamCity and i would request experts help in solving this issue !!

1) I have created a project in Collabnet with Subversion as the VCS
2) I am trying to set up the project (existing in Subversion) in TC build server (version 3.1.2).
3) When coming to the VCS settings, i have selected Subversion as the VC tool and have entered the required details of the project.

Unfortunately, i encountered an error as in the attachment (teamcitry_error.jpg) I am sure, this is something to do with the settings, which is not probably allowing me to connect to the project in Collabnet.

Connection failed!
svn: OPTIONS request failed on '/svn/teamcitytestproject'

The user name gangadharan_ramakrishnan_dsl in the attachment (tc_vcs_settings.jpg) is my Collabnet user name.

Could you please help me resolve this issue.

Also, where can we make Proxy settings in TC

Appreciate your help

Thanks !!

Hi!

- Can you checkout the files from the same URL you put into TeamCity on the same machine that is running TeamCity server?
- The Subversion configuration directory is supposed to be the settings of Subversion client, not bin directory of it. Under Windows usually it is "C:\Documents and Settings\]]>\Application Data\Subversion" which is also a default setting.
- If you need Subversion to communicate via proxy, please specify the proxy in the Subversion configuration directory - in the same place where other Subversion clients store the proxy settings.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply..

1) Yes, i have, and am able to, set up the working project on the same machine where TeamCity is installed
2) Yes, i modified the config directory to the default path and tried again. It throws the same error again
3) Morever, i have enabled the proxy settings already in the Subversion tool settings and was able to check out as said

I am afraid, if the teamcity server is not able to communicate to the collabnet url mentioned in the vcs settings https://teamcitytestproject.ibitdev.com/svn/teamcitytestproject.

Thanks in advance and appreciate your help

Hi,

I am afraid, if the teamcity server is not able to communicate to the collabnet url mentioned in the vcs settings https://teamcitytestproject.ibitdev.com/svn/teamcitytestproject.

Is it supposed to be a public URL? I cannot access it neither from browser nor from SVN client.

There should be no difference whether it is collabnet or other Subversion server distribution.

You could try to gather SVn debug logs as noted in our doc so that we can look into the issue.

Hi Yegor,

Sorry for my delayed reply..

I got it rectified with your suggestion in the point 2

"The Subversion configuration directory is supposed to be the settings of Subversion client, not bin directory of it. Under Windows usually it is "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Subversion" which is also a default setting. "

I added our proxy settings in the servers config file and the connection was successful !!

Many Thanks to your solution!!
