Difference between "Last Successful" and "Last Finished"

Can someone give me a detailed difference between these "Last Successful" and "Last Finished" artifact dependency settings and why you would want to use 1 over the other?

Hello Scott,

  If you feel safe to depend your build configuration on artifacts from failed builds, use Last Finished setting. Otherwise, use Last Successful.
