Help required

Hi Everybody,

We have couple of the projects are there ( Unittesting project etc) and currently we are using the Nunit for execution of the test cases. We use the Visual studio 2005 IDE and we manually build the solution and we have some configuration files to enter the DBS machine detail to executes the test cases and we need to run the test cases on different machines (i.e Windows server 2003,windows server 2008 etc). Now we are planning to automation of the test cases execution.

Can we use TeamCity tool for execution of the test cases on different machines? I dont get any information about the TeamCity and how to configure the build runners and how to run the test cases with nunit.

Please help me in this matter

Hi,

While doing setup for a build environment in Teamcity,in Build Runner settings i found only one path can be specified for build.xml.
If i need to give another build.xml. how can it be done.
Please give your valuable suggestions on this.

Thanks
Sailaja.

Hi,

First, select NAnt build runner as option for build runner settings.

Please also consult the documentation on how to setup NAnt runner.

  Hope this helps,

Hi,

I am using ANT as the build runner.
so please let me know whether we can give path of two different build.xml, so that they execute one after another.
Such as one build.xml referes to server component and other build.xml refers to client component.
I want servers build.xml executes first and then client's build.xml.
I never find any option in Teamcity two give the path of two different build.xml files one after the another.
I don't want to paste the contents of these xml files.

Thanks in Advance

Regards
Sailaja.

Hello,

By the moment there is no way to provide 2 build.xml files in TeamCity.
I'd suggest to create  a teamcity-build.xml file, import your existing ant files into it, and create a task which calls two targets from imported build.xml sequentially.
Please see import task for Ant for reference.

  Hope this helps,

Hi Sailaja,

I think, there is no mechanism to call 2 build.xml files in the Teamcity. Instead of creating 2 separate xml files, you can create single build.xml file and call the target tasks and you can implement your own logic in these tasks.

I think, this solution will solves your problem.
