Build Agent Not Reconnecting To Server

I'm using TeamCity 4.5 and, as an experiment, I made a change to the config file on the build agent (adding a new configuration value - don't ask).  After I did that, the server claimed that the agent had unregistered itself.  So I restored the config file to its original state and waited for the agent to recover.  It didn't.  I restarted the build agent service - still no reconnection.  In desparation, I "Removed" the agent on the TeamCity server then restarted the build agent service.

Can someone help me recover my agent?  Is there a way to force an agent to tell the server that it's ready to be used?

Could you please provide agent logs?

Probably best if I send those via email rather than post on a public forum.   Do you have an email address where I can send it?

By the way it did eventually reregister - took about 20 minutes, though.

You can send logs to teamcity-feedback@jetbrains.com

When you change config file agent will re-register on the server when becomes idle, otherwise it will wait till the build is finishes and then. However the registration process should not take so much time as it took in your case. Hope logs will make it clear what happened.

From logs I see that agent spent about 15 seconds registering on the server. It seems to be too much, but probably server was busy at this moment. Also I noticed a low benchmark index (~100) calculated for this agent, what kind of hardware do you use for the agent? Is it possible that another process ran on this agent and took significant amount of CPU time?
Could you please clear logs, restart agent again and then send us logs?
