StartTeam View Hierarchy in connection URL

I am having trouble connecting to a view in StarTeam. We are using non-unique view names, so the only way to connect to a specific view is to specify the view hierarchy in the connection url, using the colon (:) as a delimiter between view names :

starteam://servername:49201/STproject/parent_view:child_view:grandchild_view

This is not working. When I try to test the connection I get "The specified view not found". I am able to connect to StarTeam just fine via the stcmd utility using the same connection URL.

We are using TC 5.0 EAP (build 10380) and StarTeam 2009.
