SourceGear Vault

Hi,

Was just wondering when Vault support will be built into TeamCity. I understand that there is a plugin to get vault to work, but aren't there some limitations to this work around. We currently are using CC.NET and am very interesting in using TeamCity but we use Vault for our version control. Once TeamCity fully supports Vault we will switch from CC.NET to TeamCity. Just wanted to know when that might be.

Thanks,

Hello Damien,

We are providing support for SouceGear Vault within TeamCity since 5.1 version.
If you will have any feedback about it, please let us know.

Kind regards,
Marina

It is my understanding that in version 5.1 that vault support is via a plugin. But maybe I have that incorrect. It is also my understanding that the vault support via this plugin is limited compared to the other version control that are natively supported in TeamCity. But again maybe I have this incorrect.

Thanks,

Damien

OK,

So I downloaded and installed TeamCity 5.1.3 from your website. And yes you are correct there is support for SoureGear Vault (experimental) for the server and agent. But I guess what I was trying to ask is when will TeamCity support vault in the Visual Studio Add-in for the "Pre-Test Commit". It seems as of 5.1.3 the only version control systems supported for this feature are Preforce and Subversion.

Thanks,

Damien,

There are no defined plans about support of pre-tested commit in VS for Vault. Please submit request into our tracker http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issues/TW. Once we are sure the feature is necessary for many users (e.g. it gets many votes) we try to include it into our development plans.

Kind regards,
Marina
