build on agent fail (other 2 agent success)

Hi

I have 3 agents, the same project is working fine on 2 agents and it keeps failing on the 3rd (always the same one, missing some artifact, but they are exist for the other 2 agents).

all 3 agent used to run well till couple of weeks ago (teamCity ver.5.1.2)

I've tried to restart the machine and "Clean all files before build". on the agent setting page i see "Clean sources on this agent" - what does it do?

have any idea how to resolve this?

can i override the folder "..\TeamCity\buildAgent\work" folder from one of the other 2 agents?

Thanks

Hi

Each agent has its own copy of your sources to build. Clean sources option allows to resync from scratch all the data from VCS. But I'm not sure it's related to your issue.
Could you please post a build log with the error.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply :)

When running on agent1 the maven fails (started last few days), but on the other 2 agents everting is ok.

Something with agent1 data? What could be the reason the same artifacts can be found on the other agents when all agents run the same mvn script and use the same artifactory?

What if i copy the work dir from one agent to another? (the directory.map would fit the directories) is there something else that should be copeid along? What cahce dirs can i delete?

I'm getting this from the logfile (was a bit long, let me know if you need to see the whole list of the missing artifacts).

Hi!

We will need more deteailed information about your build to diagnose the problem. Would you mind attaching full build log? You can downloaded it in zipped form using TeamCity web interfact.

Also, I think it worth checking if agent1 has active internet connection.  As it fails to download Maven artifacts, I do not think copying work directories from other agents will help.

Hi,

Agent1 is the same server we have the teamCity server, it has internet connection and after i've checked all the builds it runs, some of them are running well... since an hour ago i know that it is in issue with agent1 only and for part of the builds.

agent2 and agent3 are working fine and from the log file the error doesn't indicate the real problem.

Not sure we can say there is an issue with the artifactory when it works well for the other 2, what do you think?

I'm thinking if deleting cache or somehow resting the agent would work, can you point me to the locations of the agent i can delete cached files?

What about my idea of coping the working directory from another agent?

using teamCity 5.1.2

thanks

As I said earlier, I doubt coping working directory will help.

Please, attach full build log, server log (teamcity-server.log) and agent log (teamcity-agent.log) for running build on agent1.
If these logs contain sensible corporate information, you can send them to teamcity-feedback@jetbrains.com

Here you can find instructions to get logs:
