Remote Run

I want to have my comments from the Comment field in Pending Changes in Visual studio copied into comments on the Remote run comment field.

Now I copy it there each time I start a remote run.

Or you could make it easier to write my comments into another place than it is to put it into the PendingChanges => Comment field.

What Pending Changes window do you mean, from which source control?

It's for Team Foundation server. I use Alt+v+e+h to open it.

Or you can make the check in comments for TeamCity, faster to access(keyboard shortcut), and the editor better.

Stian, from TeamCity 7.0 it is possible to perform commit directly from TeamCity - Local Changes tool window. So possible fix could be to use same commen history for Remote run and Commit dialogs. I created issue for this. Please let me know, if it is applicable solution for you.

Would be a good solution if I can use keyboard shortcut to get fast to the field for writing comment
, and the editor should be alot better than the one that is on the Personal build, comment field.
Supporting stuff like, ctrla+a, ctrl+left and right, ctrl+insert, shift+insert, shift+delete and other common editor features.

Stian, I'm not sure that i correctly understand your thoughts, but...

Would be a good solution if I can use keyboard shortcut to get fast to the field for writing comment

Seems you prefer to have ability quickly open remote Run dialog, write comment and start remote run after that. If so, it is actually possible to use keyboard shotcuts.
You could try to configure shortcuts for TeamCity add-in actions via standart VS option dialog. (Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard)
Use "TeamCity" token to find all TeamCity add-in actions. For example action which opens RemoteRun dialog could be found by "ConfigurePersonalBuild" token.
the editor should be alot better than the one that is on the Personal build, comment field.

I created issue for this, please fell free to vote / watch / comment it

What I do today is taking a note, doing changes to code, taking more notes and doing changes..and after a while when I'm done with a piece of work I perform the check-in/remote-run.

I did set up a Global shortcut to the item you specified.
Some issues:
1. Focus has to be on the LocalChanges window for TeamCity, even that the shortcut is global.
2. When I finally get into the I need to do like 4 tabs before I can write my little note.
3. And that bugger of a window is modal, so If I need to get something from my code or other VS2010 files I have to exit the window.

While the window for TFS remember where the focus was when it was closed.

And the editor need some tender, love and care.
