Can TeamCity Server handle 1k+ build configurations?

Hi,

I am looking to combine two teamcity servers into one and was wondering if there is any sort of threshold where TeamCity falls on it's knees.  One server has 650 build configurations and the other has 450.  I'm wondering if TeamCity will have any trouble handling this capacity and much more.  We will have 54 agents running where about 1/2 of them are ec2s.  With this type of load what type of hardware is recommended.

Thanks,
Jay

The answer: it depends. We have customers with more than 1000 build configurations and comparable number of agents. Our own (JetBrains)  server currently has 730 build conifgurations and 114 agents.

If you have a lot of VCS roots server may not be able to keep up with checking for changes interval, and you'll have to increase it. So, probably it would be better to move projects one by one, monitoring overall server performance.

Thanks for the reply.  Any suggestion on hardware and memory settings though for this type of load?
