TeamCity on Linux, Visual Source on Windows Agent

We have a TeamCity server running on a Linux machine.
It builds most of our software using gcc and Subversion.
We have a Windows agent machine compile C#.

Works fine.

Now I need to compile a project which is stored in Visual Source safe.

My problem is that when I set up a new VCS root to the Visual Source Safe repository the Linux machine wants to test the connection. And the Linux machine will not be able to understand the srcsafe.ini file (it has windows paths in it).

Is it possible to have a VCS root that is only available on a specific agent?

Or do I need to move the TeamCity server to a Windows machine and make the Linux machine an agent?

Best Regards

TeamCity server needs to connect to SourceSafe directly, so you'll have to install it to Windows machine.
