set flag in trigger

Anyone knows a way to set some flag(ie:env) in the trigger among a list of them for a build config so that build command chain could check and behave differently (such as skipping) for different trigger points.

I dont want to create a seperate nightly run just for sonar and long running test case for each config we have.
