Agentside artifacts

There's this really old issue which asks to deploy artifacts on an agent: http://devnet.jetbrains.com/message/5206023

I'm still curious for a solution. I do understand the issues that come with agent side artifacts, but otoh, if an agent builds artifacts that he will use within his next build, it's a shame of the bandwidth and time if the agent is off premises.

Is there any way to cache build output on an agent, or a creative solution that looks a bit like it?
