Git Push hangs

I think I now tried about everything in TeamCity to get "git push" to work and nothing seems to work. It always hangs :-(

Last thing I tried is using a bash script and call that from within a Powershell script runner in TeamCity.

I basically did exactly the same as in this post: http://devnet.jetbrains.com/message/5510674 but in my case it hangs...

Hi,

Which chekout mode do you  use (server or agent)? Set "VCS Checkout Mode" to "Automatically on agent" to have the git repo cloned instead of exported into the agent work directory.
Can you please attach build logs?

Hey Alina,

I use the checkout mode: automatically on agent.

I see the following in my build logs:

[2014-06-17 08:31:43,379] out - Adding remote repo
[2014-06-17 08:31:43,380] out - Adding remote repo
[2014-06-17 08:31:43,429] out - Calling bash script to push

[2014-06-17 08:31:49,682] out - Pushing to GitHub
[2014-06-17 08:31:49,682] out - Pushing to GitHub
[2014-06-17 08:31:49,721] err - Pushing to git@github.com:TagTagCity/mobiloptim-deployments.git
[2014-06-17 08:31:49,722] out - Pushing to git@github.com:TagTagCity/mobiloptim-deployments.git

But I do not get more information than that.

I also attached the logs in this reply.

Best regards,

Bart

Don't you use quiet mode for git push command?
Can you please try to reproduce the issue - run the same command from console in the agent work directory, make sure that you logged in to the agent machine using the same user as the one running the TeamCity agent.

Thanks a lot for your reply. It triggered something in my head ;-)

I remembered the build agent was probably not running under the same user. Uninstalling the build agent and installing it again so that it runs using exactly the same user as the one I am using in my command line fixed the issue.

Now my build is fully automated. Makes my day ;-)
