What determines the arrow color on the projects dashboard?

On the project dashboard, the disclosure triangles (arrows) changed from green to grey or red, and I'm not sure what determines it.

In the picture I've attached, the "Production" configuration was successful but the arrow is still grey. In the "Build Only" configuration, even when the most recent build failed, the arrow was still green.

I would have assumed that grey meant "no builds have happened yet" and red meant "some branch in this configuration failed its last build".

Hi,

Yes, it should work as you described.
Does it help if you refresh the page? Which version of TeamCity do you use and which version of browser?

Refreshing the page doesn't seem to make a difference.

We're running TeamCity 8.1.4, and I get the same green arrow (even though the most recent build failed) in Chrome 38, Firefox 31, and Internet Explorer 11.

Hi,

Sorry, I was wrong. Such logic is applicable to projects and subprojects, but not to branches. In case of branches the arrow color depends on the status of the default branch. The logic is the following because it's more important to know the status of the main branch and it is preferable to keep it always green, while the status of feature branches are not so stable.

Hello

Any changes for past years?
Is there any method to control the arrow color?
We use branchspec configurations a lot. And in some cases not only "default" branch is important for overall status of a configuration.

It's possible to create a special copy of configuration for such "important" branches. But it looks like a very bad solution.

Thank you in advance.
