"Server communication failure" error in Build Log

After upgrading to 9.0 I'm getting the "Server communication failure" error in Build Log. The only way to see new output is to refresh. We have TeamCity port mapped to a server behind our firewall, might also be part of the problem. I know it supports web sockets now so I'm assuming it has something to do with this although its supposed to fall back to polling AFAICT. We upgraded to 9.0.1 and are still having the same issue. Any way to resolve this or is it a bug?

Hi, could you describe your deployment of the TeamCity server, firewall configuration in details?

The TeamCity server sits behind a firewall with the a port mapping of 80 -> 80. Not sure what other information you need.

I checked the js console and I'm getting an error like every second or so (See attached) in Chrome/OSX. May have something to do with it? Also tried it on IE 11 and get the same error. I have a similar TeamCity setup at home (Behind a firewall and port mapped but through a proxy), same js error, the build log also doesen't update in realtime BUT it never displays the UI error in the original screenshot. Another weird thing is that my home server says that web sockets arent supported and its downgrading (See attached), but it doesen't seem to actually work because it doesen't update in realtime. On the work server it never says that web sockets aren't supported, just displays the error. I tried setting "teamcity.ui.serverPush.enabled = false" and it didn't seem to have an effect.

Hi, do you have these issues only on Build Log page?

Ok, seems that it's caused by a js error while processing build logs update. It's not related to WebSocket, I've created an issue for it - https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/TW-39701.

Could you also attach screenshots of the full Build Log page?

Also it will be great if you provide response from one of XHR requests to

buildLog/incBuildLogTree.html
when there're JS errors in console?

I'll post the things you asked for on the new issue. Thx for your help Dmitry!
