Is it possible to share templates (or just copy) across projects?
I've set up a template for one of my projects with a bunch of parameters, that I'd now like to re-use in some other projects. However, I can't see any way to either share this template directly (ideally), or to duplicate the template into another project. Is there anyway to do this?
Thanks
James

Hi James
On a build configuration page there is associate with template button on right side. It allows to attach a template to any configurations, even in other projects.
Would it work for you?
We have TW-11201 for template copying, please vote/comment. Current workaround is to duplicate whole project, move new template copy to a desired project, and delete this dupicate project.

How to share template across projects in TeamCity Enterprise 8.0.5 (build 27692)?
Hi Tema,
In versions prior to 8.1 as workaround you can copy the whole project project.
BTW, we would recommend to upgrade to the latest TeamCity version (9.0.5 as of now) to get access to all the recent bug fixes and lots of new features.
Hello Alina,
I found better solution. You can add template to Root Project so it would be awailable for all projects
Sorry, I thought that you asked about coping template from one project to another. You are right, template added to the project is available in all its subprojects.
