Cannot see perforce view for Remote Run in eclipse using P4WSAD version 2008.2/188245

I am having problems trying to use the Remote Run feature of Team City.  The TC plugin does not appear to see my perforce changelists.  As a result, I see the message "No changes in 'TeamCity Remote Run'. when I select that TC Remote Run view.  Something that definitely seems odd is that the RemoteRun tab reads as "TeamCity Remote Run [Subversion]" even though I have no CVS or Subversion repositories linked with TeamCity.  I am only using a perforce Team plugin, so I would expect this Tab to read "TeamCity Remote Run [Perforce]".  The menu option for RemoteRun view also does not present a Perforce option (which I understand in talking to others it should). Everything with regards to the perforce plugin itself appears to be working properly.  Any thoughts on what I need to do to get perforce and Team City to behave with one another?

Very similar to the issues reported in TW-6434 and TW-6435 where perforce is not picking up changelists.
