Symbol Files Indexer isn't in my list of build features Follow
We upgraded to TeamCity 9.1 yesterday and started getting the following build error:
symbols.sources-server-url configuration parameter was not set. No symbol and source indexing will be performed.
So, I downloaded and installed the current Symbol Server plugin https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/TW/Symbol+Server
It does show up in the list of plugins as version 1.0.6, but when I go to Build Features to add the Symbol Files Indexer, it doesn't show up in the list of available build features. Is there something else I need to do?

Hi, Dennis
Please try plugin version compatible with latest TeamCity EAP (9.1 EAP actually). Plugin compatible with 9.1 RTM will be build in the nearest future.
Hi Evgeniy,
We are having the same problem. The symbol indexer doesn't appear in the list of build features that can be added. Builds that already have the build feature show an unknown build feature. This is using the latest version that you also linked in your post.
Could you give us an indication when we can expect an update?
Leo, please send me teamcity server logs. I'll take a look. By the way, do you see symbol server plugin in TeamCity server plugins list?
We are experiencing the same issue. Tried 1.0.4 and 1.0.6 of the plugin. I see the plugin in the list of plugins on the administration page but I do not see it as an option in the list of build features.
Regards,
Ryan
What version of TeamCity server do you use? Please provide TeamCity server logs for investigations.
The issue is resolved. It seems I forgot to restart the TeamCity service after the last time I uploaded the plugin. It now works with version 1.0.4 downloaded from the latest Trunk build.
I restarted the server to generate a new log file to upload here and noticed the error was gone in the log. Now the build feature is back.
Thanks for your help!
To answer your previous questions: Yes it did still appear in my plugin list even though there was an exception while the pluging was being loaded. See attachment for the exception.

My bad. I think I may have copied in the 1.0.6 version when I thought I was copying in the 1.0.4 version. I tried again and now it shows up.
Sorry.
Ryan
Nice to hear that! Feel free to ask any questions appeared.
