Can group sync be done at new logins?

Default syncTimeout is one hour. When I login with an account that in the active directory belongs to a group that is assigned admin privileges, in accordance to the ldap-mapping.xml, it does not do so immediately. I've reduced the time to 2.5 minutes, but I am not sure what kind of impact this will have on the AD. I did enable the syncOnlyTeamcityUsers property, but if synchronization could occur either every hour AND whenever there is a new login creation, that would be great. Is this possible?
