Unable to Save VCS

I have a failing build that I'm trying to change but the changes don't appear to be saved.

The error is with the VCS as it wasn't connecting.

When I change the username and password, the URL so the Text Connection works and passes, all good.

But then I save the VCS and try to build, build still fails, I go back to the VCS and find that the changes I made were not persisted.
