VCS Checkout rules

Hi.

Can anybody explain why there is no mechanism to exclude certain files in checkout rules?

And I will also glad if this information appears in the documentation.

This messes up users.

Hi Alexander,

the information is already in the documentation (https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/TCD10/VCS+Checkout+Rules in the table, on the excluding rule entry). Only directories are supported.

If you would like this to be implemented as a feature, please create a request for it in our tracker here: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/TW
