NuGet publish - Cannot prompt for input in non-interactive mode.

Hi

I need help to figure out Nuget publish problem with a test project. The issue might be that it cannot prompt for input in non-interactive mode.

I am new to Octopus and TC so please be patient with me. The following config has worked fine before so i am not sure what happened to it.

I cannot log in to OCTOPUS WEB PORTAL because i forgot my username and password and tried to add/modify using command line but i still cannot log in.

For Username/Password authentication

Octopus.Server.exe service --stop Octopus.Server.exe admin --username=YOURUSERNAME --password=YOURPASSWORD Octopus.Server.exe service --start

For Active Directory authentication

When Active Directory authentication is in use, the --password argument is not required:

Octopus.Server.exe service --stop
Octopus.Server.exe admin --username=YOURUSERNAME
Octopus.Server.exe service --start

The old package source URL value was http://build.....no:8080/nuget/packages that gives 404. I am not sure what is the correct URL to use.

Hi, and sorry for the delay,

Regarding the octopus login issues, I'd suggest talking with your octopus system administrator or requesting help with octopus themselves. I'm not particularly acquainted with it, so I can't really offer much from our side.

The "httpAuth" on Octopus' URL seems to imply that it needs some sort of http authentication, and it's likely that the nuget publish step can't handle that kind of authentication. Taking into account it uses an api key, it might be possible that the httpAuth bit of the url can be left out, or that a different URL should be used, but please mind that I'm not that familiar with it.

This said, octopus offers their own plugin for deploying packages to their servers. You might want to consider giving it a try, as it will offer much tighter integration with their services.

At the same time, you are using TeamCity 9.0.1. This version is rather old and out of support, so we would strongly recommend upgrading to a newer release, as it's quite likely that several bugfixes were introduced in the meantime.
