Can Agent be higher version than Server
We would like to create a new agent on a new machine and have that agent on a TC version that is higher than the server TC version.
Is this possible?
Specifically, we want the agent to be 9.1 and the server is on 8.0.5.
The reason is we want the agent to have the latest msbuild tools which are only available from 9.1 and we would like to avoid upgrading the server for now.

Hi Mark,
sorry for the delay. Agent version has to match server version, so a mismatch should be resolved via upgrade or downgrade. If it's not the case, then that would be a rather serious bug.
