When viewing changes it shows "no files found"

We are running Teamcity 2019.1.4 - we've recently noticed that the changes listed in the teamcity build log aren't showing the files actually changed. I'm not sure what has changed, but we first noticed it when we upgraded to 2019.1.1.

Here is an example:

The build has been executed, it shows that there is 1 commit to trigger it, but it shows "0 files" and "no files found" as what changed. If you open up the merge request it clearly has a few files modified. It shows the same for all of the builds that were triggered by this.

It does seem similar to this: https://teamcity-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206172359/comments/360000868500 but we don't see the changes in any of our previous builds. Thoughts?

Hello Matthew,

If you expand changes history for the build (for example, using the Change Log tab of the build configuration), can you see the changed files that you would have expected to be associated with this commit on any of the earlier commits? Do you have any checkout rules on the problematic build?
