I'm coming up against a problem where there's surely a simple answer I'm missing. I've done a lot of googling and drawn blanks thus far, so it's time to write a post!
We have TeamCity setup on Windows. I have two build agents, one on the server, and another setup seperate to that.
I would like to be able to run exactly the same configuration for builds on each agent: i.e. I want the same build.xml to run, and the same project.properties files to be used for every build on either bulid agent.
What I don't want to have to do is that if I want to change a parameter, to have to change it in two places. In the future i'm looking to have more build agents, so it will not be scaleable to have to make changes to the same properties file on multiple PC's.
Surely there is a way to do this? This is the beauty of having build agents, right? So that you can run the same build on different machines?
I hope you can help - I'm truly stuck at the moment!
